Visually inspect the subfloor structure and subfloor to identify the materials used
Run and check datum lines and confirm dimensions are accurate
Complete tests appropriate to the type of floor covering to be installed according to manufacturer instructions
Identify remedies to any faults identified and make recommendations for floor coverings
Prepare an assessment report
Make copies of the report available to appropriate people
